Now you can get the wordpress self hosting (wordpress.org) blog without paying neither for hosting nor for domain.
The free version of wordpress blog (wordpress.com) has limited function, that you can’t custom the blog template according to your need nor you can’t install adsense ad codes to get some bucks.
The full potential of wordpress can be utilized by downloading the software from wordpress.org and installing it in your server. But most of the server will suck you.
So I recommend you to go for zymic.com which is totally free and have sufficient disc space and bandwidth to meet your demands. And also it is better than 110mb.com as in 110mb you can’t opt in for MySQL.
Follow the steps below:-
Step1: Go to CO.CC and regisster a free domain like yourname.co.cc or you can purchase a TLD like yourname.com or you can chose the free domain by zymic like yourname.uuuq.net
Step2: Register with Zymic.com
Step3: Down load the latest version of word press from wordpress.org
Step4: Create a SQL database , user and password in zymic control panel (under MySQL Database Management )
Step6: Open the file wp-config.php in notepad.
Step7: Edit the 4 marked places with your MySQL database details.
Step8: Save the file wp-config.php .
Step9: Rename the entire wordpress folder to public_html.
Step10: Delete the entire public_html folder inside zymic hosting space.
Step11: Upload The public_html folder from your desktop to zymic hosting space by using filezilla software.
Step12: Now open the file http://your-site-address.com/wp-admin/install.php to set up your username and password for your self hosted wordpress blog.

Very nice and easy step by step information. Thanks for another good post. I have tried 110mb.com lately, but it could not allow to create a mysql database, which is essential for wordpress installation. So i switched to http://www.freehostia.com for the free server space. It worked good, and it has a one click free script installer like Fantastico easy installer which helped me install wordpress within few minutes with few clicks only (no need to upload wordpress files to server and configure the config.php file). Its really easy for non-technical newbies. However i have not tried 000webhost.com, but will soon.
Thanks again for the informative post

Great info to know – most of the free web hosts that I used to know didn’t allow mysql databases – and since I use wordpress exclusively, they were useless to me. I’ll be recommending them to people. Thanks.

Do not sign up for co.cc domain name, as it is free only for 1st year. After 1 year it will ask to renew your domain name by paying $3/year else you will loose all your page rank, traffics….. everything.

okay i solved my problem, u can check db_host at phpadmin.
Btw i suggest you to use freehostia.com to host your wordpress.
i had tried all 3 website
000webhost.com, it too long to wait for setup.
zymic.com, it not support zip file(so hard to upload theme and plugin).
and last the best freehostia.com it has support zip file, working ftp, and fast server, instant setup with automatic wordpress script, but it has small space 250mb, but it still the best for its price.
i had made tutorial how to setup wordpress on freehostia..checkout

Hi there! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could locate a captcha plugin for my comment form? I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having trouble finding one? Thanks a lot!
